Nendoroids are somewhat of a new obsession of mine! :3 Ever since I got the Arch Bishop Nendoroid straight from Gravity, I’ve absolutely loved these things! If you’ve never seen a Nendoroid in person, you probably cannot appreciate how high quality, heavy and absolutely adorable these things are! Plus, they’re lots of fun since all their parts are interchangeable! They’re rather expensive, but the quality of them is unmatched! Chiaki Minami is the newest addition to my family~
First off, my camera sucks! 3:< I seriously think I got ripped off when I bought this thing. So, please bare with subpar photos.
Chiaki is just as great as other Nendoroids. However, I did mess up a bit whenever I took her out of the box and was setting here up. xD; Each Nendoroid comes with a stand and while I was putting the stand together, I accidentally broke the tip of it, the part that connects the fitting onto the Nendoroid to the stand. So, I borrowed a stand from another I own, but it doesn't really fit perfectly. I'm just really happy I didn't break a part of the figure itself - which would have been hard, but leave it up to me to do something stupid like that. xD; So, the moral of the story is to be careful with your Nendoroids and even handle the stands with care! Of course, you already know that - I'm just an idiot sometimes. I don't plan to sell these - if I did, they'd still be in the box. I'm just collecting them, so it isn't a huge deal to me.
Anyway, she comes with lots of parts. Three separate facial expressions, and extra set of arms and a hat! Her hat is attached to her little cowlick, so you have to pop out her cowlick to place her hat on her head. Sadly, this means you cannot put her hat on another Nendoroid. D: She also comes with a cute little backpack. It takes a bit of time and care to put it on since it is only connected with two thin, little straps. They sort of "snap" onto her shoulders, though it takes a little wiggling.
Of course she wouldn't be complete without Fujioka! She loves him! 3: He gets special treatment and has his own stand! Problem is none of his joints actually really move, so you can't pose Chiaki with.
I've very satisfied with Chiaki! :3! She was $45 and was worth every penny! I know I could be spending this money on other things, like uh, a video game, but seriously, I'd much rather have a Nendoroid than a random game I'll be able to get for $10 in a few months, anyway~ If you're interested in a Chiaki of your own, check out YesAsia or Amazon. There are some Prime eligible in stock, as of this post. I wouldn't recommend eBay, at least not a Chinese seller as they are often bootlegs. Remember, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is! These things are usually at least $40 - pay anything less than that and it is no doubt a bootleg. I don't think Chiaki is in as high demand as some other Nendoroids, which is why she's priced slightly cheaper.
